BREEDING FEES & PAYMENTS

What is Nuksay’s 2026 stud fee?

Nuksay’s 2026 stud fee is $1,000, plus a $250 chute/booking fee.

What is the chute fee?

The chute fee is a booking fee paid directly to us at the time you reserve your breeding.

When is the chute fee due?

The chute/booking fee is due at the time of contract submission,

If I won a charity auction or association-donated breeding, do I still have to pay the chute/booking fee?

Yes. Even with a charity auction or association-donated breeding, the $250 chute/booking fee is still required.
This fee is not included in the donated breeding and must be paid directly to Spotted Gang Appaloosas (SGA) at the time of booking to reserve your spot for the 2026 season.
The chute/booking fee covers administrative processing and scheduling for your breeding and is required for all breedings, including donated ones.

When is the stud fee due?

The stud fee is due upon the mare’s arrival at the farm for live cover.
For shipped semen breeding, payment must be completed before semen is ordered for collection or shipping.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept:
✔ Credit/debit cards with a 4% Service fee added to the transaction
✔ Venmo without protection (if protection is selected there is a 5% Services fee due to recover the cost)
✔ Bank transfer
✔ Cash or cashier’s check for live cover

Do you offer discounts?

Yes — depending on the time of year.
Discounts may include:

- Early booking

- Returning mare owners

- Multiple mares

These discounts will be announced seasonally.

SEMEN OPTIONS & SHIPPING

Do you ship semen?

Yes — we offer fresh cooled and frozen semen.
Shipping is available throughout the United States.

What does fresh cooled semen cost?

$225 + shipping*

What does frozen semen cost?

$250 + shipping*

How much does semen shipping cost?

Shipping depends on location and carrier. Average ranges:

$150–$300 FedEx Overnight

$250–$350 Counter-to-counter airport service

Breeders are responsible for all shipping costs.

When is the payment due ?

For shipped semen breedings, payment must be completed before semen is collected or shipped.

What are your collection days?

We collect Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Please give 24-hour notice for all cooled semen shipments.

Who schedules semen shipment?

Your veterinarian must contact us directly to book the collection and shipping details.

Does early booking affect semen availability?

Yes — earlier bookings are prioritized for semen shipment scheduling and live cover dates

What happens if I cancel a booking before season starts?

Chute/booking fees are generally non-refundable. If cancellation is necessary, contact us as soon as possible

LIVE COVER

Do you offer live cover?

Yes — live cover is available by appointment only at our farm in Hopkins, SC.

Where are mares boarded during their stay for live cover?

Mares staying with us for live cover are housed in 12×12 box stalls with attached 12×24 private paddocks.
This setup allows mares to move freely, relax, and settle comfortably while staying safe and secure.
All mares receive daily monitoring and care during their visit.

What are the mare care fees for live cover?

Mare care is available for mares staying at our farm for live cover.
Our daily rates are:

Dry mares: $35 per day

Wet mares: $45 per day

The breeder is responsible for providing feed for their mare.
We offer the following hay options (breeder’s choice):

Alfalfa hay

Orchard/alfalfa mix

Orchard/timothy mix

What does my mare need for live cover?

Before arrival, mares must have:

- A negative Coggins

- Up-to-date vaccinations

- A clean reproductive exam

- No contagious skin or respiratory conditions

BOOKING & CONTRACTS

How do I book a breeding?

1. Contact us to request a breeding contract - You find the request form on our page

2. Sign the online contract

3. Pay the chute/booking fee

4. Schedule semen shipment or live cover

Can I book more than one mare?

Yes, you have to fill out a contract for each mare

FOAL GUARANTEE & REBREED OPTIONS

Do you offer a live foal guarantee?

Yes — if the mare does not produce a live foal (24h standing & nursing), the owner is eligible for a rebreed the following season.
Only chute/booking fees and shipping costs apply to rebreeds.

What if my mare doesn't get pregnant?

You may receive a rebreed within the same season or the next breeding season, depending on contract terms.

Is the rebreed transferable?

No, rebreeds must be used by the original mare owner unless otherwise approved.

REGISTRATION & FOALS

Is Nuksay registered?

Yes — he is ApHC and ICAA registered.

Can foals be registered?

Yes — all eligible foals can be registered with ApHC.
Stallion Service Certificates are issued once pregnancy is confirmed.
