Where Family, Foundation, and Spots Come Together
We’re the Terebayza family — Michael and Stefanie, along with our daughters Ashley and Angelique — and we’re the hearts behind Spotted Gang Appaloosas.
Our farm is tucked into the peaceful countryside of Hopkins, South Carolina , just outside Columbia, and it's not only where we live, but where our horses live and thrive alongside us.
We first opened our gates in 2013 in our former location in Camden SC as a riding school and summer camp barn and moved to our current location in Hopkins in the summer of 2022, but our passion for horses goes back decades. Growing up in Germany, Stefanie and her daughters were immersed in English riding, while Michael’s American upbringing added a strong Western influence to our family’s horsemanship. Over time, we discovered a shared love that bridged both styles: The Appaloosa.
The name Spotted Gang Appaloosas is more than just a catchy brand — it’s a reflection of who we are.
Our farm has long been known as Pony Gang, a name tied to our riding school and camp program, where kids and families connect with horses in a positive, personal way. When we made the exciting decision to expand into Foundation Appaloosa breeding , we wanted to honor that legacy while celebrating what makes this new journey so special — the iconic spotted coats of the Appaloosa breed.
And so, Spotted Gang Appaloosas was born — a name that perfectly ties together our past and our future, our heart and our herd.
Back in 2021, close friends of ours, Dan and Stachia in Minnesota, introduced us to their Appaloosa stallion, BCA Chats Nuksay. He left a lasting impression, and over the years they encouraged us to join their mission of preserving and producing 100% Foundation, GAP-enrolled Appaloosas.
In Spring of 2025, that vision became real when they offered us Nuksay himself, one of his 2025 few spot colts we have fallen in love with at first sight, the colts damn (GAP 4) and two outstanding GAP 5 mares. With their program moving into GAP 7 and beyond, we were honored to carry forward the next chapter of their GAP 5 and GAP 6 legacy.
Now, with passion in our hearts and spots in our pastures, Spotted Gang Appaloosas is ready to begin their journey. In September when it will get cooler here in the South our new little herd will make the big move from the North down to us.
Life on the Farm
We believe in hands-on care, daily handling, and slow, respectful raising. Foals are raised here at home and sold as weanlings, prepared for lifelong success.
And it’s not just horses who call this farm home — we also share it with 3 miniature cows, 6 pot belly pigs, and 2 goats!
Our Breeding Philosophy
versatility, and structure to produce foals that are both stunning and steady-minded.
Our horses are all:
Double registered with ApHC & ICAA Enrolled in the GAP program (GAP 4 to GAP 5) 6-panel negative for inherited disorders. Genetically tested for LP and PATN1 to ensure bold, colorful coat patterns
Our goal? Horses that are born to shine in the arena, on the trail, or right in your backyard.
We welcome:
Breeders looking to continue or start Foundation lines
Families seeking kind, colorful companions
Show homes who want smart, eye-catching horses with substance
We offer:
Live cover, cooled, and frozen semen from our stallion(s)
In utero foal reservations with live foal guarantees
Honest contracts, friendly support, and a relationship that doesn’t end at pickup
What matters most to us is fit and long-term success — and that each foal finds a home where they are loved and appreciated for all they are.
